WordPress introduced some new features in version 3.4 that Poster currently takes advantage of, and will take further advantage of in the future.
Markdown was created by John Gruber, who describes it as "a text-to-HTML conversion tool for web writers. Markdown allows you to write using an easy-to-read, easy-to-write plain text format, then convert it to structurally valid XHTML (or HTML)." You can also choose to write in HTML.
Automatically converting your text to HTML when uploading to your blog must be enabled in the app settings.
Tap on the picture icon in the toolbar when editing a post (top toolbar on iPad, bottom toolbar on iPhone). Additionally, tap and hold at any location in a post to insert an image at a specific location.
A featured image for a post can be set when uploading a new image to your blog. Tap the picture icon in the toolbar when editing a post, select a picture, and then turn the "Featured Image" option on.
When viewing the list of posts for your blog, swipe across any of the posts and a delete button will appear. Tap the delete button to confirm.
New custom fields can be defined in two locations: the settings pane within the app or the detail pane when editing a post. To define a new custom field when editing a post, tap the gear icon and scroll to the bottom of the view. From there, you can tap the plus button to define a new custom field.
Yes. You can enable custom post types by navigating to the app Settings >> "Your Blog" >> Post Types and choosing the post types you wish to sync with Poster. When editing a post with a custom type, only input fields (categories, tags, excerpt, etc) will be shown in the interface.
When viewing the list of posts for your blog, tap the "Posts" header at the top of the list.
Starting a post from a Dropbox file supports any plain-text based files. Supported file types include: txt, html, htm, markdown, md, mmd, mdown, mdwn, text, fountain, and ft.

Poster supports iPhones, iPads (including iPad mini), and iPod touches running iOS 6 or newer.
